Theory of Change:

Theory of change ( ToC), is defined as a method that explains how a given intervention, or set of interventions is expected to lead to a specific development change drawing on a causal analysis based on available evidence. The foundation has developed a set of objectives and goals based on assumptions, to guide them towards achievement of the set goals and the expected positive impact on the society. The foundation’s Theory of Change is informed by a conceptualized framework within which the strategies, policies and objectives are housed.
The focus in the main is on systematic injustices, undemocratic tendencies and norms which the society is subjected to on a daily basis. The assumption is that change is achieved through the coordinated and concerted efforts aimed at behavioral, attitude and sometimes psychological rehabilitation of the society, which leads to multiple desired outcome/s.

Seotlong’s primary mandate is to make or fund programs targeted at alleviating the target audience from the bondage of unjust, unfair and undemocratic norms and this includes the vulnerable, poor and marginalized communities and formal civil society formations that operate within South Africa’s democratic framework, who’s work is focused on systematic change.
